Your Position

As Project Director, you will take the helm of high-impact projects that are critical to our strategy and the broader energy transition. You will set the standard for project excellence-steering complex, multi-disciplinary teams, fostering innovation, and ensuring every project aligns with our ambitious corporate goals.

Based at our Global Headquarters in Esbjerg, Denmark, you will be part of a vibrant, international environment at the heart of the Danish energy industry. This full-time position involves strategic global travel (approx. 30-40 days per year) to ensure project progress and nurture key stakeholder relationships.

Your tasks & responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale EPC projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget.
  • Inspire and manage cross-functional, international teams, promoting collaboration and high performance.
  • Drive strategy, translating business objectives into actionable project plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee project finances, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders-investors, government agencies, and major clients-to secure project support and ensure seamless execution.
  • Champion safety and sustainability, embedding these values at every stage of the project lifecycle.

Your profile & qualifications

  • Demonstrated success as a senior project leader-preferably as Project Director-on large-scale energy projects.
  • Strategic mindset with proven ability to make high-impact decisions and guide projects that shape company direction.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Deep understanding of the energy sector, including regulatory frameworks and emerging technologies. Experience with large-scale EPC civil works is a strong advantage.
  • Extensive stakeholder management skills, with a talent for navigating complex negotiations and building lasting partnerships.
  • Relevant advanced degree (Engineering, Business, or similar).
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are highly valued.
