Job Description
To make flexibility work across propositions, platforms and markets we hiring a visionary Flexibility Market Innovation Lead. This role is for someone who combines energy wholesale market literacy, a strong customer orientation, technical knowledge and a builder's mindset.
Your Mission
- Market Activation of Flexibility: Connect market opportunities (e.g., spot, balancing, DSO-flex, imbalance) with platform capabilities and customer offerings. Ensure alignment between our solutions and market value drivers.
- Translation Between Domains: Act as the bridge between trading, regional product teams, and platform development. Translate market strategies and asset aggregation logic into actionable platform requirements and customer-focused use cases.
- Support Proposition Rollout: Collaborate closely with regional teams to design, refine, and scale flexibility-enabled propositions. Provide guidance on value potential, market fit, and operational execution-from battery optimization to dynamic EV tariffs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with trading to define value pools, guide platform development priorities, and collaborate with product leads to shape scalable offers. You'll integrate efforts across teams for effective convergence.
- Bringing External Expertise: Apply hands-on experience from aggregators, VPPs, or DER-tech startups to enhance our execution speed, clarity, and customer-centric approach. Stay agile in the fast-evolving flexibility markets.
You Are
- Fluent in Flexibility Markets: Expertise in Day-Ahead, Intraday, aFRR, and passive imbalance markets, with a deep understanding of DER participation (batteries, EVs, smart heat).
- Digital Platform Proficient: Able to define functional requirements and orchestration logic for digital platforms, facilitating effective market integration.
- Experienced in Dynamic Energy Environments: Background in agile energy sectors (e.g., aggregators, tech-driven energy firms, VPP operators).
- Hands-On and Proactive: Identify barriers, propose solutions, and drive execution without waiting for direction.
- Strong Stakeholder Navigator: Build collaborative relationships across trading, IT, and retail teams to drive aligned execution.
- Passionate about Innovation: Drive ideas from concept to scalable solutions, contributing to E.ON's leadership in the energy market transformation.
