As a Project Engineer, you will oversee and manage the technical and engineering aspects of projects to ensure successful execution. Your responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks while maintaining adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.
The Project Engineer will provide support and expertise to the RES Construction Management team, working across wind farm and solar construction projects in Australia. The role will include supervision of site EPC Contractors, monitoring performance and achievement of standards for projects (cost, time, safety, quality and environmental performance) and reporting to Lead Project Engineer.

Key Safety Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Ensure all site safety and legal requirements are met. Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, and performance standards
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle. Solve technical problems and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of contractors and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met
- Assist the Construction Project Manager to address and resolve any contract-related disputes or issues that arise during the project
Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to manage project interfaces, stakeholder requirements, and associated risks
- Flexible, innovative, and proactive with a strong focus on HSEQ culture and practices
- Effective team player with experience in virtual teams, while also being a self-starter capable of working independently
- Skilled in managing engineering consultants, contracts, and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera
- Experienced in identifying and addressing design, construction, and project management risks
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Based in Melbourne with flexibility to work across all states and remote project locations
- Holds a degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
- Possesses a valid full Australian driver's license
