Job Description

The Head of LATAM is responsible for driving regional growth and operational excellence in the Installation, Service and Blades sector in South America region. This role is responsible for overseeing the performance and development of the regional Installation, Service and Blades business units, ensuring safely the delivery of high-quality service operations, managing ongoing projects profitably, and cultivating long-term partnerships with key customers.

This is a remote job, so you can live in Brazil, Mexico, or Chile.

Your qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in installation, service or maintenance operations in the wind power sector.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (additional languages spoken are a plus).
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze data, manage budgets, P&L responsibilities and driving profitability.
  • Strong background in customer relationship management and business development.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with a focus on team development and engagement.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to build lasting customer relationships
  • Strategic thinking balancing short-term operational demands with long-term strategic goals, Making informed, timely decisions even in complex or ambiguous situations.

Your Role

1. Leadership & People Management

  • Establish clear performance goals for Project Managers team members and provide regular feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Oversee and manage Project Managers and their respective projects.

2. Profit & Loss (P&L) Accountability

  • Manage the P&L for all ongoing projects in the LATAM region, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Track and analyze financial metrics, identifying opportunities to improve revenue, reducing costs, and maximizing profitability.
  • Ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and in compliance with FairWind's quality standards.
  • Oversee resource allocation and project budgeting to optimize operational efficiency.

3. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key customers in the region, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and expectations to tailor service offerings and strengthen partnerships.
  • Negotiate and oversee installation and Service contracts, ensuring alignment with FairWind's business objectives.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding the scope of services with existing customers.

4. Business Development & Strategic Planning:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Department, other business units and stakeholders to leverage synergies and drive cross-functional success; Develop and uphold project management standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide management reports, set guidelines, and establish a governance framework to support project execution.
  • Represent FairWind at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company's services and capabilities.

5. Operational Excellence & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining a zero-incident work place culture.
  • Ensure projects are executed efficiently and consistently.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all regional operations.
