Job Description
Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall's Onshore and Offshore Wind and other non-hydro Renewable activities. Today we develop, construct, and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
For our Business Area Wind we are looking for a Working Student - Digital Tools, Data & Automation (m/f/d) for our office in Hamburg/Berlin.
You will part of the Onshore Business Excellence team, which is responsible for driving business transformation projects to enable Onshore Wind to achieve its strategic and operational targets. This includes steering business digitalisation efforts and providing key digital tools for smart ways of working within our teams. In this role, you will be assigned to operational activities related to Jupiter, an internally developed project management tool, and you will also support on strategic and operational digitalisation topics.
Your Tasks
Support on strategic and operational digital topics, including:
- Drive digital research & insight creation: Conduct targeted research on digital trends, competitors, and emerging technologies. Translate findings into crisp, actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making.
- Enable data‑driven decision making: Maintain and enhance digital performance dashboards, validate data quality, and synthesize results into clear narratives for stakeholders across the business.
- Coordinate operational project activities: Support day‑to‑day digital project delivery by managing action logs, preparing sprint/meeting materials, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment across teams.
- Improve digital processes & tools: Help design, optimize, and document digital workflows, small automations, and tool configurations to increase efficiency, transparency, and scalability.
Drive activities related to our project management tool, Jupiter, including:
- Drive excellence in our project management platform (Jupiter) by configuring workflows, testing new features, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day system operations.
- Champion continuous improvement by analysing user feedback, proposing process optimisations, and supporting automation initiatives using Power Automate.
- Empower teams through clear documentation and training, creating user guides, onboarding materials, and maintaining knowledge bases in SharePoint or DevOps Wiki.
Qualifications
- Current enrolment in a Bachelor´s or Master´s program (business, engineering, data/IT or related) and available up to 20h/week during term
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and Power BI
- Fast learner of internal tools, with motivation to work on the Jupiter application (our Wind project management tool) and its user workflows
- High attention to detail and respect for confidentiality when handling project and stakeholder data
- Team player mindset-comfortable coordinating with PMs, superusers, and stakeholders across BU Onshore Wind
- Fluency in English, written and spoken (C1 minimum)
Beneficial but not required
- Experience in developing interactive dashboards and defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decision-making
- Familiarity with Power Automate for creating automated workflows and streamlining business processes
