Their products and services span interdisciplinary engineering, architecture, and consulting, covering areas such as buildings, transportation, energy, environment and health, water, management consulting, and landscape architecture. Ramboll offers end-to-end support from planning and feasibility studies to design, procurement, risk management, civil engineering, commissioning, and maintenance, which includes digital tools for projects like the electrification of a 350 km railway with 20,000 steel masts in the late 1990s (source: ramboll.com). Target markets include utilities, governments, waste management companies, private developers, funding sources, and local authorities, with a focus on sustainable cities and green infrastructure (source: dbdh.org). Ramboll differentiates itself through its foundation ownership, enabling long-term reinvestment and over 50 years of experience in energy systems, positioning them as one of Europe’s largest consulting firms.

Among Ramboll's notable projects is the Øresund Bridge, which connects Copenhagen with Malmö, Sweden, and was built between 1995 and 1999. They have also been responsible for Copenhagen's city-wide district heating system, serving over 1 million people, as well as Denmark's first radio mast from 1950. Ramboll has designed and constructed 130 waste-to-energy units and retrofits in 40 countries, demonstrating their global reach and expertise (source: wikipedia.org). Recent Developments

In 2022, Ramboll launched the strategy "The Partner for Sustainable Change," which aims to integrate sustainability into all projects and operations by 2025. This strategy seeks to position Ramboll as a leader in the green energy transition while achieving record revenues and operating profit (EBITA) (source: ramboll.com). 2022 also marked the 50th anniversary of the foundation's ownership and the 75th anniversary of the company's founding (source: ramboll.com).

Ramboll offers a wide range of roles in engineering, architecture, and consulting, including specialized areas such as hydrology, climate resilience, and waste-to-energy. Hiring takes place at offices in 35 countries, including the headquarters in Copenhagen, which has around 4,500 employees. The company culture is characterized by the founders' "Ramboll Philosophy," which emphasizes ethical standards, employee responsibility, and societal benefit, supported by the foundation's ownership that prioritizes people and communities over short-term profit goals (source: ramboll.com).

Your new role

As our new Senior Proposal Consultant, you are recognized as a proposal expert and strategic contributor, independently leading large and complex pursuits from capture planning through submission and interview. You own the pursuit development process, driving strategy, content, coordination, and quality while partnering closely with technical, market, and business development leaders to shape compelling, client-focused narratives and win themes.

  • Own pursuit planning and execution, including facilitating kick-off meetings and strategy sessions that define win themes, positioning, schedules, roles, and submission requirements.
  • Partner with market leaders, business development, and subject matter experts to shape accurate, compelling, and client-focused responses, proactively driving alignment and decision-making.
  • Develop strategic narratives, value propositions, and differentiators aligned with client goals, evaluation criteria, and win strategies.
  • Serve as lead writer for non-technical sections and integrate multi-discipline content into cohesive, compliant, and persuasive submissions.
  • Coordinate and guide contributors, tailoring content to client requirements while ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Oversee proposal quality control, including QA/QC reviews for accuracy, compliance, and brand alignment.
  • Mentor Consultants and Coordinators on proposal strategy, writing, processes, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely opportunity, pursuit, and client data within CRM systems, using data to support pursuit tracking, reporting, and post-pursuit insights.

  • Provide feedback and insights to Market and Clients & Sales leadership on pursuit performance, client trends, and process improvements.
  • Conduct market and client research to inform positioning, messaging, and pursuit strategy.
