As a Legal Counsel IT & Digital, you will join Axpo's Data Protection and IT & Digital Law team on a part time basis and will be based in Axpo's offices in Madrid, Spain. Our interdisciplinary team is a part of Group Legal Services, which addresses highly topical issues across the entire energy value chain. The team supports the IT space of Axpo both nationally and internationally across the Group. What you will do

  • Manage various IT matters, including software licensing, SaaS agreements, end-user license agreements (EULAs), IT services, and other related contracts for the Axpo Group.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of legal documents related to IT procurement and digital projects, including contracts with international service providers and technology partners.
  • Advise on Intellectual Property Law in the scope of procurement activities and other company initiatives.
  • Provide legal support and legal risk management recommendations to Axpo technology initiatives and projects.

What you bring & who you are

  • Completed legal studies (Master's degree from an EEA/EU University), preferably admitted to the bar.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in drafting and negotiating IT contracts in an international law firm or a global organization.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Open mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working in an international environment.
  • Fluent in English; German desirable. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
