Job Description

Skeleton's Operations department is looking for a driven and experienced Head of Quality (m/f/x) to be the first initiator to develop and provide quality management system assessment processes and prepare us for internal and external audits of our facilities. Using relevant KPIs, you will also set up and execute quality control processes for operational quality management as well as educate Skeleton employees about quality topics.

You will further be involved in the following areas:

  • Develop and implement quality management strategies and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop the company's Quality Management System to ensure it conforms with the customer, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF16949, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Establish and maintain quality control processes and procedures across all production departments.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of quality control measures and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a growing cross-border team, divided into several sub-teams, such as Production Quality, Supplier Quality, Incoming Inspection, and others.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the quality awareness in the entire company, especially in production.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality management and integrate them into the company's quality processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management, production management) is required. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a production environment, with a focus on quality management and auditing.
  • Highly recommended to bring experience from managing ESG & Sustainability topics.
  • Experience in leading and managing a multinational team, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and attention to quality.
  • Various ISO, IATF, and standard introductions and certifications are not new to you.
  • You have a hands-on work mentality and characterized by regular exchange with the production team.
  • You feel very comfortable communicating in German and English, both on a communicative and written level.
