This role is part of Landis+Gyr's EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. For our EMEA Software, Solutions and Services function, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who combines strong .NET development skills with experience in software maintenance, implementation, and customer-specific customization.
In this role, you will not only maintain and deploy our solutions in customer environments, but also design and develop custom features and extensions to our core software, working close to real-world use cases in the energy domain.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Implementation
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Landis+Gyr software solutions in customer environments
- Analyze issues in production systems and provide sustainable fixes
- Collaborate with customers, support, and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents
- Improve system stability, performance, and operability over time
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational guidelines
Software Development & Customization
- Design and develop custom features, extensions, and integrations using C#/.NET
- Adapt and extend existing applications to meet customer-specific requirements
- Contribute to the evolution of internal frameworks and reusable components
- Review code and ensure quality, security, and maintainability standards
- Participate in architectural and technical design discussions
Our Requirements
- Experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and maintainable code
- Experience debugging and supporting complex production systems
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab)
Nice to have
- Domain knowledge in energy, utilities, or IoT will be a big advantage
- Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) as well as containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Scripting (Python, PowerShell)
