Imagine a future where you use your data engineering skills to enable the trading of renewable energy from the world's largest offshore wind operator

Join us in this role where you'll get the opportunity to build and maintain data engineering solutions in close cooperation with data scientists and architects and a variety of business stakeholders.

You'll be part of IT Applications where you, together with your colleagues, will cooperate closely with colleagues such as traders, analysts, Settlement analysts, and operational revenue specialists.

You'll play an important role in

  • developing and maintaining secure, monitored, and peer-reviewed data ingestion pipelines for trading-related data
  • coding and maintaining the wind farm trading processes in our in-house trading system
  • modernising our database stack by migrating from outdated systems to a more lightweight, modular architecture
  • driving the evolution of our data landscape, ensuring it meets current and future needs
  • collaborating with stakeholders, primarily trading, back office, and analytics teams, to identify inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions.

To succeed in the role, you

  • are proficient in Python, SQL, and object-oriented programming
  • have experience with containerisation of code, Kubernetes, Docker, etc. Terraform
  • have experience with Modern Data Engineering patterns and using dlt (data load tool), dbt (data build tool) and Airflow, Snowflake db, IaC (Infrastructure as Code) - Terraform
  • have experience with Testing frameworks such as Great Expectations, Elementary or Soda Cloud
  • are a strong team player who thrives on collaboration
  • have experience with DevOps, including integrating logging, testing, monitoring, and alerting within data pipelines
  • have a critical and experimental mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies as needed
  • are familiar with BI tools (Tableau preferred).
