The position of Technicians Relations Manager focuses on three key priorities for GWS and our employees.
- Strengthening relations and timely communication
- Technician Development

The role will be essential within our organization in strengthening and establishing good and long-lasting relationships with our field-based Technicians. In addition, the role is to ensure efficient and effective management of various administrative tasks and professional development initiatives relating to our Technicians. The position will be in our office in Carrollton, Texas.
As a Technicians Relations Manager, you will assume responsibility for overseeing a group of our technicians from our multicultural workforce and will work closely with our Operations Team, Recruitment Team, and Integrated Planning department to ensure a first-class service to our field employees.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will become part of a dedicated team, driven by employee satisfaction, strong relationships and have a direct impact on GWS' ability to deliver the best service not only to our clients, but to our highly valued field employees.
Requirements
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with technicians through mails, phone calls, face-to-face meetings and site visits
- Acting as the initial point of contact for GWS Wind Turbine Technicians, providing timely and accurate information
- Communication of Project Assignments for Technicians to ensure clarity and alignment
- Facilitating regular discussions with technicians to support their professional growth considering company needs and opportunities, address any concerns or performance issues
- Maintaining the Qualification Matrix: ensuring updates are made in a timely fashion and maintaining data integrity that reflects technicians' experience
- Ownership of Technician GWS CV's, updating on a regular basis with new project assignments, skills and experience, to ensure a reactive approach to sales and planning requests
- Gathering and maintaining technician feedback from Site Managers (SM), Leaders to inform continuous improvement efforts, ensuring completion and discipline on completion, to capture valuable feedback and performance data
- Promoting the safety and quality culture in GWS; our initiatives and expectations
- Monitoring technician utilization and suggesting resource allocation and training development to the Integrated Planning and Project Teams
- Managing annual leave requests in alignment with Integrated Planning, Site Management and Project Management to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Assisting in the execution of disciplinary actions in collaboration with Country Manager, HR Business Partner, Project Manager and Site Manager, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies in line with local employment regulations
- Management of the end of employment and offboarding process, ensuring all necessary procedures are followed and documentation is completed
- Leading and promoting cross-departmental cooperation. Encouraging and enabling teamwork between various departments to improve the overall efficiency and success of the organization
- Introduction to new type of technician contract when change requested
- Approval over budget for working clothes
Job Requirements
- Understanding wind energy industry or having relevant experience in this industry
- Being able to work in a very dynamic environment
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Good PC skills (MS-office is a must)
- Excellent communication skills, interacting well with people
- Proven experience in remote, face-to-face interaction
- A background in recruitment, customer service, or a fast-paced environment is a plus.
