We are now looking for Sales Development Representative who can help us to continuously improve Volue's ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission.
As a Sales Development Representative at Volue, you will play a key role in generating new business opportunities by developing suspects into qualified prospects. You will be responsible for building and executing a structured outreach plan to systematically approach target market segments and identify decision makers who may benefit from Volue's solutions.
The Sales Development Representative is often the first point of contact for potential customers and therefore plays an essential part in shaping the initial impression of Volue. By understanding customer needs and market dynamics, you will translate how Volue's software solutions and services deliver real value. Once an opportunity is qualified, it will be handed over to the Account Executive team for further sales development.
Your expected results will be defined through annual action plans and targets agreed with your leader.
Main Responsibilities
- Represent Volue externally in a professional and customer-oriented manner
- Conduct research to identify potential customers and key contacts within target organizations
- Understand customer processes and challenges, and map these to Volue's solutions
- Establish new business relationships with influential decision makers and stakeholders
- Generate a pipeline of qualified leads through outreach via multiple channels, including:
- Maintain accurate status and progress of leads in the CRM system
- Qualify opportunities and hand over sales-ready leads to Account Executives and Solution Sales Experts
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to align priorities with territory and strategic account plans
- Work together with Marketing to plan, execute, and follow up lead generation activities
- Ensure timely follow-up of marketing-generated leads according to agreed targets
- Report insights on customer needs, market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for new solutions or services
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Engineering)
Experience
- Experience in telemarketing, lead generation, or cold calling
- Understanding of the energy market and/or utility sector is required
- Interest in selling complex software solutions and services
- Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Nordic languages
- Additional languages such as German or Italian are an advantage depending on territory
