About the Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of our development platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, coupled with expertise in infrastructure automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and cloud technologies. You will play a critical role in optimizing our development processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency across our development platform.
Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes, including code integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance, identify issues proactively, and ensure high availability of development services.
- Cloud native Development on Kubernetes: Support and guide teams designing and deploying applications in Kubernetes.
- Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with development teams to understand their requirements and provide support in optimizing their workflows. Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain system reliability. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements within the development platform. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
Required Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. (Preferred)
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on development platform infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: golang, c#, python, javascript
- Experience with containerization technologies with Docker, container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and tools like Helm and Skaffold.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like Github Actions, Gitlab, Jenkins and patterns and tools for GitOps like ArgoCD.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services like EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile development environments.
- Familiarity with software development practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform or similar technologies.
- Certifications in relevant areas such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
