Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for following and developing processes and procedures to ensure that onshore and offshore logistics are effectively and efficiently managed, to meet operational demands, in a cost-efficient manner, supporting the offshore operations team.
About the role
- Promote a positive safety culture, contribute to the Operations (Ops) Team delivering its Health & Safety objectives, raise near hits using internal tools & by ensuring that QHSE issues are resolved & targets are met
- Ensure that the Offshore team are supplied & supported with parts, tools & equipment to ensure affective offshore operations
- Liaise with the Ops Team to ensure that consumables, spares and equipment are identified, prioritised, ordered and received, in time for maintenance activities, and that minimum stock is maintained for reactive repairs
- Follow & improve processes to ensure the effective ordering, receipt, issue and return of spares, tools, equipment and consumables, to meet operational needs
- Take the initiative to identify cost savings for the procurement and management of logistics by developing supply chain relationships and alternative suppliers
- Manage, alongside others, the full warehouse system including Calibration, inspection, testing, quarantine, audits and stock checks using the Paper Trial system
- Working Pattern:
- The role will be on a rotational shift basis; 7 days on / 7 days off, 'core' hours to be based on a 37hr week average over a two-week rotation but working up to a 12hr each day
- This role is considered a flexible role with periods of Service Operations Vessel (SOV) deployment for the appointed person. This will mean that when the SOV is deployed at Gabbard, the shift pattern will change to 14 days on / 14 days off to match with the SOV operation
Job requirements and experience
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to effectively priorities and carryout resource management
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships with the Customer, Contractors & Suppliers
- A determined emphasis on Process Improvement and QHSE, and a commercial understanding of Wind Generation and Key Performance Indicators
- A good working knowledge of PC based computer systems especially Microsoft Office and resource management systems such as SAP & Paper Trail
- Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and produce / present it in a clear and logical format
- Full UK Clean Driving Licence
Advantageous, but not essential
- Other plant operational licenses such as Forklift Truck & Crane Operator
