Job Description

The Head of Strategic Partnerships at Landis & Gyr leads the definition and execution of the company's global partnership strategy across AMI 2.0, grid edge intelligence, multi commodity solutions, and the broader utility and technology ecosystem. The role is responsible for developing and scaling high value alliances that strengthen the Gridstream platform, accelerate innovation, and deliver measurable commercial and customer outcomes. This leader manages executive partner relationships, oversees performance and governance, and ensures every partnership advances strategic, financial, and operational goals.

Strategic Leadership and Market Insight

  • Define and lead the long-term partnership vision that advances Landis and Gyr's position in next generation AMI, distributed energy intelligence, grid orchestration, and digital energy management.
  • Identify emerging technologies, market opportunities, and ecosystem partners that expand platform capabilities in load intelligence, DER orchestration, analytics, home energy management, and multi commodity sensing.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive alliances, and regulatory developments, translating insights into partnership strategies aligned with long term growth.
  • Shape partner selection criteria, investment priorities, and commercial structures that support scalable business expansion.

Partnership Ownership, Product Alignment, and Ecosystem Development

  • Serve as the primary executive point of contact for strategic technology and solution partners with strong operational and executive alignment.
  • Lead contract discussions, joint commitments, and escalation management to protect customer outcomes, revenue, and delivery performance.
  • Drive product and technical alignment including integration planning, architectural reviews, roadmap checkpoints, and co creation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for joint IP development, solution accelerators, reference architectures, and differentiated offerings.
  • Promote partner participation in industry events, customer advisory boards, technical bootcamps, and innovation forums.
  • Represent Landis and Gyr externally as a thought leader in AMI 2.0 and grid edge ecosystems.

Cross Functional Collaboration, Go to Market Execution, and Governance

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Operations to activate partnerships across customer programs and commercial motions.
  • Coordinate joint go to market plans including solution launches, regional alignment, co selling strategies, and integrated marketing campaigns. Enable Sales and Solutions teams with partner content, training, and field readiness.
  • Develop and manage joint business plans with partners including financial targets, co innovation milestones, and market expansion objectives.
  • Lead quarterly and monthly business reviews, tracking partner influenced pipeline, ARR contribution, adoption trends, and delivery quality.
  • Establish structured performance frameworks, governance dashboards, and executive reporting for all major partnerships.
  • Provide insights, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the board.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
  • Ten or more years of experience in strategic alliances, ecosystem partnerships, enterprise software, grid technology, or corporate strategy.
  • Proven success leading high value partnerships including co sell, co innovation, and joint go to market motions.
  • Experience driving executive governance, solution launches, field enablement, and global program execution.
  • Strong executive presence with ability to communicate value clearly to C suite leaders.
  • Ability to travel twenty five percent of the time for partner meetings, customer engagements, and industry events.

Pay is in the range of $164,801 - $227,317 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
