As a Compliance & Quality Engineer, you will play a key role, together with our back-office QA specialist, in ensuring that our biogas plant EPC projects in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland meet all applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality expectations. You will work closely with project managers, engineering teams, suppliers, and construction partners to secure high-quality project execution from early design through commissioning. You will act as both a guardian of compliance and a driver of continuous improvement across our Nordic project portfolio.
Your key responsibilities and tasks will be
Oversee and enforce Regulatory Governance
- Ensure Lundsby adherence to regulatory requirements for CE, ATEX and PED and Gas regulations in our area of operations
- Monitor legislation and regulatory requirements in Denmark, Norway and Finland - CE, PED, ATEX and local regulations
- Design, Implement and maintain a unified Nordic compliance framework
- Develop and control policies, standards, procedures and SOP for project lifecycle
- Ensure project compliance with International and local requirements
- Ensure compliance with workforce registration requirements for projects
- ATEX APV for biogas plants
Ensure Contract & Project compliance
- Assist sales phase with cost estimate of compliance in project
- Ensure EPC contract requirements are implemented across project teams
- Support project managers with contractual compliance obligations
- Ensure supplier requirements and documentation reach compliance standards
- Ensure Lundsby documentation reaches compliance standards
- Participate where required in project risk assessments, HAZOP, HAZID and design reviews.
Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with internal QMS standards in accordance with ISO 9001
- Conduct quality planning for projects, including ITP's, inspection checklists, welding inspections, FAT/SAT coordination and document verification
- Create the Site quality plan, quality check of goods received, supplier and site audits and inspections across Denmark, Sweden and Finland
- Support and control Process & Documentation
- Ensure accurate and complete project documentation throughout projects phase ensuring project regulatory and contract adherence
- Maintain document control in line with procedures
- Develop and maintain compliance and quality procedures
HSE integration
- Support alignment between quality, compliance and HSE in EPC projects
Your background and qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, (Mechanical, Process, chemical, industrial or similar)
- 3+ years of Compliance, QA/QC, on-site experience preferably in EPC energy, biogas or process industries
- Strong knowledge of regulative requirements, regulative processes and regulative documentation and EPC project quality workflows
- Experience working with European technical regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to communicate contractually and technically in English to a C1 level
Advantageous
- Experience with Nordic construction rules and Eurocodes (BR18, BGA, etc)
- Experience in biogas, wastewater, anaerobic digestion or similar process plants
- Knowledge of welding standards (EN1090, ISO 3834 and/or NDT)
- Additional languages: Swedish or Finnish language skills is also an advantage
