Job Description

Would you like to take up the opportunity to enter into a fast-evolving industry with the outlook of a high degree of personal development in a green Company in growth? We are looking for a motivated student to join our Divestment Management Office Team at European Energy.

As our new Student, you will join our Divestment Management Office (DMO) team at our Headquarters in Søborg, Copenhagen. The DMO sits within the M&A and Asset Finance Department, which has 31 committed colleagues, including two Student Assistants, and together is overall responsible for all of European Energy's divestment and financing processes on a project level.

We are involved in financial modelling, investor management, and talks with banks regarding construction and project financing, as well as leading all projects, portfolio divestments, and partnerships - managing transactions from origination all the way to closing. We try to develop and maintain long-term relationships and promote competitive processes. The department is part of the newly established CCO organization with a holistic and strategic focus on European Energy's commercial activities.

How you will create impact

As a Student Assistant, you will play a meaningful role in driving key activities across the Divestment team. Your contributions will help shape decision-making, support strategic transactions, and strengthen our internal processes. You will:

  • Prepare material for internal reporting (Management review, Divestment Tracker and other strategic updates.)
  • Develop content for stakeholder dialogues, supporting the setting and steering of the Divestment Portfolio.
  • Support the mobilization of new transactions by preparing kick-off materials, coordinating milestones, and assisting with internal approvals and investor-facing presentations.
  • Contribute to lessons learned sessions and new departmental initiatives, helping us continuously improve how we execute transactions.
  • Maintain and enhance the European Energy Divestment Blueprint, integrating insights from recent deals and strategic updates.

What we look for

We are looking for a student within Finance, Economics, or a related field. To thrive in the role, we imagine you bring:

  • A commercial mindset and interest in corporate finance (financial modelling is a plus)
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced environment with a positive, can-do attitude when facing new challenges

With us you get

  • You will get the possibility to apply your knowledge from your studies to real projects.
  • Steep learning curve through problem-solving, end-to-end ownership of your work and opportunity to build a very strong problem-solving toolkit.
  • Possibility to learn from talented colleagues with top-tier consulting, financing and sustainability backgrounds.
  • A great level of flexibility to build a good balance between studies and exams.
  • Opportunity to be part of our Next Generation Student Network, where our +100 students, interns, and trainees across the company meet for social and academic events.
  • You will be part of a truly international environment. With more than 47 nationalities represented in our HQ office, you will hear a lot of different languages when you walk down the hallway.
  • You will have many opportunities to engage socially across the departments. We have a monthly Friday event, free gym in the basement, squash court, as well as sport events such as running club, football club, and mountain bike.
