Job Description

Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to work at the forefront of the global energy transition? PEAK Wind is seeking an Operations Control Engineer to manages real‑time operational monitoring, safety‑related actions, and authorization of work activities in accordance with established rules and procedures.

You will become part of our Operations Management team, based in Changhua in our 24/7 Operations Control Centre (OCC) in the O&M Base, you will act as Operations Control Engineer for O&M, in one of Taiwan's largest offshore wind farms. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be an essential part of our Operations team, responsible for daily monitoring and control of the Windfarm.

How You Will Make an Impact

As a Operations Control Engineer, you will contribute to the success of our clients and renewable energy projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor the SCADA systems, respond to alarms and situations as necessary including remote operations and resets
  • Control and monitor the high voltage electrical systems on and offshore
  • Manage the release of plant and/or apparatus for work, testing, energization, and operation following safety rules
  • Ensure the HV system is operated to comply with the grid code, Electrical Safety Rules and procedures
  • Coordinate the implemented Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and High Voltage (HV) grid control
  • Conduct operational and safety switching duties, consent for the issue of safety documents and coordinate/create switching schedules
  • Coordinate/operate and support the PtW system including activation and deactivation of work
  • Enables safe transit and access to the assets to perform Operations and Maintenance. The Operation Control Centre (OCC) is also support to Marine Coordinator for executing vessel, helicopter movements outlined in the plans and schedules for vessel tracking, and people tracking

  • Is willing to work in a 24/7 Operations Control Center with a shift‑based rotation
