Job Description

The Marketing Officer will support the execution of marketing activities in Mozambique to drive brand awareness and product adoption. The role focuses on driving awareness, digital planning and execution, field activations, commercial team support, and coordination of local marketing activities to strengthen ECOA Electric market presence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute national and regional marketing campaigns within the Mozambique market.
  • Localize marketing materials and messaging for the Mozambican audience.
  • Support the development and execution of localized social media.
  • Manage local digital marketing assets and activities.
  • Coordinate campaign development and execution across digital and field marketing channels.
  • Support the commercial team with marketing materials and in-market activations.
  • Organize product demonstrations, promotional events, and brand activations.
  • Ensure strong brand visibility through POS materials and marketing events.
  • Coordinate visibility procurement through local vendors, including printers and suppliers.
  • Track marketing activity performance and report results to the regional marketing team.
  • Support local marketing budget planning, tracking, and cost control.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely execution of marketing campaigns and activations.
  • Growth in brand awareness and visibility in Mozambique.
  • Effective support of commercial activities and sales initiatives.
  • Compliance with brand standards and budget management.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years' experience in marketing, preferably in consumer products, clean cooking, or technology sectors.
  • Experience in campaign execution, digital media development & execution, field marketing, or trade marketing.
  • Strong understanding of the Mozambican market environment.
  • Strong campaign execution and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with commercial and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Portuguese, and a working knowledge of English is required.
  • Willingness to travel within Mozambique for marketing activities and field activations.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
