Job Description

The Construction & Commissioning Engineer is responsible for providing on-site supervision for construction & commissioning project activities. In addition, it is also part of the work to plan and review project priorities and update the project manager.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the project team prior to commissioning to provide on-site supervision for construction & commissioning project activities.
  • Uphold schedule of all construction & commissioning activities on jobsite and make changes necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Enforce good construction & commissioning standards and quality control.
  • Plan and review project priorities and updates with the Project Manager.
  • Commissions and validates site H2, ELX, ProGen, and Stationary systems with a level of proficiency across multiple systems.
  • Mentors and supports Service Specialists and Commissioning Specialists as they learn new systems.
  • Takes an indirect leadership role in helping to define construction & commissioning team processes and best practices.

QHSE

Tasks & Responsibilities Regarding Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE)

  • Taking training courses.
  • Using appropriate personal HSE measures (e.g. Personal Protective Equipment's).
  • Cooperating on quality, health, safety, environment and security improvements.
  • Reporting incidents, potential danger, accidents, near misses, damage, fire, spills.
  • Act according to the Company Policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Follow Project and Company Q and HSE procedures/work instructions and Policies.
  • Reporting and preventing deviations, Non-Conformance and complaints.

Authorities with Regards to HSE

  • In case of an acute safety threat, you are required to cease the work activities, notify your manager directly and follow up all necessary actions

Level of Education / Experience

  • Vocational education degree in Engineering and Technology, or relevant work experience.

Other Requirements

  • VCA/ VOL certificate or willing to get the VCA/ VOL certificate.
  • Speak English at a professional level.
  • Excellent communication and social skills.
