As a Purchasing Technician, you contribute to the acquisition or leasing of goods and services that meet Boralex's needs. You will report to the Senior Manager, Inventory and Operational Procurement.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Create and process purchase orders based on approved requests
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure stock availability
  • Conduct procurement needs analysis using MRP, SAP, and Maximo software
  • Coordinate logistics with suppliers and internal clients
  • Perform tracking and control tasks to ensure compliance with quality standards and procurement processes
  • Update and generate information related to the daily management of purchasing and supply activities
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Operations, Strategic Sourcing) to align procurement activities
  • Work with the team to ensure purchasing aligns with the strategic plan
  • Participate in identifying and proposing opportunities for process improvement

Note: This position may require occasional rare travel within North America.

To succeed in this role, you should have

  • College diploma (DEC technical program or AEC)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP, MRP, and Maximo
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Demonstrated professional rigor
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
