The Sales Analyst is a support role within the Business Solutions C&I Sales organization. The goal of this position is to learn the basics of processing, offering and closing a C&I deal. The position will prepare an individual to have ownership over the full pre-sale customer lifecycle (from contact to close). Sales Analysts will learn to manage the business process for energy transactions from start to finish. Account setup, pricing, and closing are the primary responsibilities of the position. Limited post close support is expected for routine, ongoing account management. Success in the position hinges on superb communication skills, ability to multi-task, time management skills and ability to learn deal closing/customer communication skills. The position is full-time and based in NRG's Houston, downtown office.
Responsibilities
- Process/facilitate requests for deal setup, pricing, structuring and contracting
- Communicates clearly with internal team members
- Responsible for the quality and timely completion of deal processing
- Responsible for developing proficiency in internal sales/operational processes and systems
- Responsible for developing a working knowledge of simple deals (products and contract structures)
- Perform customer research and or contact customers, as requested by Sales Leaders
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months working with customers in a call center/ inside sale environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Previous experience processing/facilitating requests for deal setup, pricing, structuring and contracting
- Previous experience working in the energy or utility industry
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing industry demands and internal and external factors.
- Detail oriented with strong organization and follow-through skills.
- Must be self-directed and able to learn business and new products quickly.
