Job Description
Our ambition is to be a distinctive and recognised leader in the UK and Ireland, developing our assets under operation to c.5GW by 2030. This is your opportunity to join us as Asset Manager where you will have responsibility of managing renewable assets on behalf of the investor, ensuring that the day-to-day performance of the asset is in line with the business plan.
The Opportunity
As Onshore Wind Asset Manager you will have close working relationships with the O&M teams pursuing and optimising the performance and returns, whilst also looking to identify continual improvements. You will oversee a variety of operational, commercial and financial matters associated to the running of their operational portfolio and a diverse mix of wind turbine technologies.

What you'll be doing
You'll ensure the contractual compliance with all commercial agreements as well as stakeholder relationships to include; equity investors, OEMs, Independent Engineers and landowners.
- As applicable, in coordination with the O&M team as well as the OEM team, monitor and challenge the operational performance and optimisation metrics to achieve the portfolio's highest possible availability of generation.
- Prepare and manage internal and external forecasts, internal and external budgets, financial and operational variance reports, and other ad hoc reports as needed, relevant to their allocated sites.
- Develop & manage processes and procedures that outline the expected standards for managing the assets.
- Work with project teams during site development stages to ensure projects owner's considerations are addressed. Assure that the projects' transition from Implementation Phase to Commercial Operation Date (COD) is successful and monitor that the Implementation's Punch List items are completed on time, and all pre-COD obligations are fulfilled.
- Facilitate collaboration amongst organisational cross-functional teams as conditions necessitate finding resolutions for any operational, financial, commercial or technical issues.
- Interface with EDF Renewables internal teams such as Performance, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Development, Operations and Maintenance teams to optimise major repairs, contingency plans, necessary capital investments, payback periods, project returns and life extension options.
- Ensuring accurate and timely management reporting across the portfolio
- Ensuring valuations are accurate, consistent, robust and delivered in a timely manner through the management of the valuation models and processes.
- Completing site audits and acting as landowner and community fund contact
- Maintaining data management systems.
- Maintain a healthy audit programme across all activities.
- Receiving and reviewing monthly O&M reports and evaluation of commercial availability and corresponding liquidated damages and/or bonus with the O&M contractors
- Managing compliance with insurance policies
- Managing compliance with other contracts such as Trade Point Control & Power Purchase Agreements and, where needed, action contractual rights (e.g. warranty claims)
- Providing support to the Development team on asset acquisitions or origination.
What do you need to be great at this role?
- Preferably a University Degree in either Engineering or Business discipline, but with strong experience in asset management of generation assets.
- Experience in an Energy company, Advisory or Investment group looking after a group or portfolio of assets or sites, with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- High level of numeracy and some data analytics
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be a team player and able to demonstrate experience successfully dealing with peers, management, cross functional groups, project stakeholders and unaffiliated third parties.
- Willingness to learn and support others with flexibility and "can do" attitude.
- Understanding of energy markets, policy & regulation and knowledge of renewable generation specific applications and opportunities.
- Able to work effectively in Microsoft software programs, including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Prior project management experience administering energy projects and/or project financing of renewable energy projects.
- Fast learner who is able to gain a quick understanding of operability and performance expectations of any company' renewable energy technologies.
