We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Group Planning Analyst to join the SmartestEnergy Group, where you will play a crucial role in supporting both short and long-term financial planning. This key position is responsible for preparing management information and presenting it to the SEL board, C-suite, and Exco, requiring exceptional attention to detail in both reports and commentary. You will track financial targets, reporting results to various stakeholders while enhancing the overall financial rigor in reporting and planning processes.

In this role, you will support the SmartestEnergy Limited (UK) business and manage consolidated Group positions, collaborating closely with Regional FP&A Business Partners and Finance VPs across our global entities. You will also guide and influence senior management on key financial deliverables, oversee the coordination and consolidation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans, and improve monthly and quarterly reporting to provide valuable insights to senior stakeholders. Additionally, you will drive the development of automated reporting systems using Workday and PowerBI, and play a pivotal role in stress testing, balance sheet forecasting, and collaboration with Treasury on group finance costs.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • Degree educated with PQE membership of a professional accounting institute (ACA / ACCA / CIMA);
  • Financial modelling - basic level (Dashboard creation, advanced excel etc.) - willing to learn;
  • Must have strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to identify key issues;
  • History of senior stakeholder management with ability to provide both effective support and challenge to senior stakeholders;
  • Proven experience working as a finance business partner/external auditor supporting large businesses.
