About the Role

This is an DevOps role and part of L+G's Platform Development team. Technical Lead/Senior Engineer DevOps will be responsible for understanding the environment and deployment needs of a GCP, multi-cloud and on-premises software solution. An understanding of networking, network configurations and firewalls rules is required.

Summary: Seasoned Gitlab professional to help application teams develop and maintain their pipelines running in Gitlab SaaS.

Key skills required: GCP, Gitlab maintenance & pipelining, JFrog Artifactory, Gradle, Ant, Python.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

This role will help different applications team - Help them migrate their existing pipeline Continuous Deployment.

  • Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Networking as Code (NaC) solutions across GCP and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform modules for provisioning and managing cloud resources (Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM).
  • Configure and manage GitLab Runners (or equivalent CI/CD agents) to support build and deployment pipelines across on-premises and cloud.
  • Apply GitOps principles to enable reliable and automated deployments in GCP and Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Build and package Linux and Windows software installers for enterprise and customer environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Work with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE/Anthos preferred) to manage and scale containerized workloads.
  • Troubleshoot cloud and hybrid environments, including networking, IAM, and software installation/upgrade issues.
  • Implement and support continuous monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus, Nagios, Grafana, Loki, or GCP Cloud Monitoring & Logging.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams using GIT, GitLab for version control and CI/CD automation and JFrog Artifactory for artifacts management such as container images and helm charts.
  • Contribute to deployment documentation and cloud runbooks for internal operations and customer environments.

Desired Skills/Competencies

  • Hands on Gitlab Platform helping development teams in migrating to Gitlab
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as:
    • Compute Engine, GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), Cloud Run, Cloud Functions
    • Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL / Spanner
    • VPC, IAM, Cloud Armor, Load Balancing, Service Accounts, and Secrets Manager
  • Exposure to multi-cloud / hybrid-cloud deployments (AWS, Azure experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, and security best practices.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in globally distributed teams and with third-party partners.
  • Excellent technical writing skills to produce deployment guides, operational runbooks, and customer-facing documentation.

Qualifications and Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, or related fields (B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA).
  • Total 6+ years of experience is required.
  • Minimun 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles.
  • GCP certification (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional DevOps Engineer, or similar) is a plus.
