Job Description

Your Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager (m/f/d) to support the delivery of a major grid connection project, including the construction of a landfall structure using microtunnelling trenchless method and supporting civil and marine works. You will support the project team for the Microtunnel Landfall sub-project during the planning phase and construction execution by the EPC contractor.
The role involves working mostly on-site in Vierow (between Greifswald & Lubmin).
Tasks may include:
- Provide supportive leadership to the Client's Site Team, including client representatives, supervisors and HSE personnel, ensuring structured coordination and compliance with project requirements. Oversee onshore construction activities, ensuring seamless day-to-day coordination with contractors and site teams.
- Consult to drive delivery of the defined scope in accordance with project schedule, budget targets, quality requirements and risk plans.
- Establish and maintain a robust site organisation, including processes, communication structures and reporting routines.
- Provide clear and structured reporting to Project Management, ensuring transparency on progress, risks and issues.
- Review, assess and approve contractor Method Statements for civil works, HDD, tunnelling, infrastructure crossings and construction site set-up.
- Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations and internal technical standards.
- Actively foster a safety-first culture on site in collaboration, alignment with the Clients HSE representatives.
Requirements & Your Expertise
- Several years (min 8 years) of experience as a Construction Manager or Site Manager in energy, grid, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical understanding of civil construction processes, ideally incl. trenchless (tunnelling), nearshore marine technologies to oversee technical planning, work method statements and construction activities.
- Confident in reviewing construction methodologies and assessing technical feasibility.
- Proven experience in contractor management, site coordination and interface management.
- English min. Level B2 (Level C preferred), German is a plus.
