Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Dev Ops Software Developer with 7+ years of professional experience, specifically focused on leading, developing DevOps and CICD pipelines for custom Java/JEE/Spring software for using leading modern tools with strictest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical software programming background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. Candidate must be authorised to work in the US for any employer.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and stability of critical infrastructure, supporting a range of data platforms, web/online and mobile applications, and micro-services, Apis, and custom backend Java/JEE components.
- An Expert in ANSILBLE, DOCKER, Terraform to create dockerized images, to set up servers on AWS and to deploy them in various environments.
- An Expert in design and development of infrastructure and pipelines for various custom enterprise Java Applications on AWS cloud systems.
- An Expert in setting up automated alerting and monitoring mechanisms to identify potential issues (capacity, security, patches, network, compute, storage etc.) that could impact the availability of our production applications and backend systems.
- Lead and participate in continuous software releases for various roadmaps for different products process to ensure smooth, event free and without disruptions.
- Collaborate with software and firmware development teams to design and implement solutions that enhance system uptimes, scalability and reduce downtime.
- Optimize resources (CPU Servers, DB, Network Configurations etc.) utilization and minimize unnecessary expenditure on IT infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain confluence documentation for tools and pipelines.
- Collaborate frequently with software developers to configure AWS Cloud IT security, QA and integration development environments.
Essential Skills, Education and Experience
- AWS Cloud DevOps certified
- 5+ years of experience in Linux (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux/RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES, etc.), Unix and/or Windows operating systems
- 5+ years of experience building and supporting Java/JEE/Spring Microservices applications
- 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure technologies on AWS cloud
- 5+ years of experience on configuring and building containerized solutions (e.g. Docker)
- 3+ year of experience using and administering tools like GitHub, JIRA and Nexus
- 3+ year of experience with POM, Maven, Jenkins,
- Strong understanding of bitbucket/github and other emerging and branching code using version control tools
- Experience writing python, yaml and json
- Expert in integrating code quality and management tools i.e. KLOCKWORK, Corberturra, SonarCube, etc.
- Experience in setting up servers for Load testing for custom applications
- Familiarity with creating monitoring dashboards using Grafana or similar
- Excellent communication skills both vertically and horizontally within the organization related to all aspects of technical leadership - written and verbal
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in setting CICD /DevOps for Mobile apps
- Experience in managing API's via Gateway, SWAGGER or similar tool
- Experience in DevSecOps and Securing all the custom components on AWS using various AWS components
- Experience in setting up JEE/Java software for real-time IOT applications.
- Experience in one or more Database migrations, DBA, ability to manage and transfer the data between environments.
- Familiarity with TLS 1.2/1.3 implementations.
- Understanding of electrical systems and power distribution.
