Job Description

Vestas Offshore deals are some of the most complex in the world and we keep moving this forward with our exciting technology. We offer a role that will have you directly involved in large offshore wind projects, working with our advanced technology offerings. Can you (f/m/d) help us keep advancing our achievements?

Region NCE and Global Offshore > Global Offshore > Sales UK

Sales Offshore, UK is responsible for all sales related activities from early engagement, over bidding and negotiation until hand-over to Construction upon signing of a contract.

The wider team consists of a diverse group of motivated employees covering the global offshore sales regions alongside a team that provides global bid management and sales support.

Responsibilities

  • Face the customers jointly with the Senior Sales Package Manager throughout the entire sales process. This will involve strategic relationship building with customers and other stakeholders internally/externally
  • You will be the head of negotiations including all aspects related to the commercial contract with support from relevant subject matter experts
  • Direct the commercial parts and be overall responsible for the bidding and contracting strategy to ensure an attractive but risk balanced offer
  • Mentor for more junior members of sales team (also cross border mentoring) and have the responsibility for onboarding of new Sales Managers
  • Be accountable for the customer dialogue throughout the complete sales process and own the relationship of important accounts together with other stakeholders in Vestas
  • Acting as role model both internally as well as externally
  • Know the Vestas sales process as well as Vestas' sales tools and methodology in dept. This involves being the owner / project manager of strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • Experience being involved on the commercial side in negotiation of large complex projects and you will be able to articulate the consequences from a commercial and contractual point of view
  • It is expected you will have significant understanding of the commercial aspects of complex products and will be required to translate this knowledge into a contractual context
  • Experience with long-term sales processes and will be required to deliver results in a matrix organization selling large-scale projects
  • You will hold a bachelor's degree, coupled with a significant level of professional and project management experience from within wind energy, power plants, infrastructure or the construction industry. A master's degree would be preferred

  • Demonstrate significant ability to effectively deliver results under complex varying conditions. With the skill to navigate uncertainty on high stake projects
  • Advanced communication skills and a questioning mindset, capable of leading key discussions with Global Offshore Management
  • Ability to persuade internal stakeholders and work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Advanced financial understanding and investigative capabilities, including value engineering
  • Ability to work in time-sensitive environments and willingness to go the "extra mile"
  • Deep value chain understanding and proven history to take decisions in the best interest of Vestas
  • Comfortable to have discussions with C-Level Contacts with the largest customers
