Job Description
To ensure customer satisfaction through effective quality proposals to Hitachi's customers and delivering results from managing the lead to Purchase order handling to ensure repeatable customer business.
How you'll make an impact
- Ensuring the successful execution of our tendering process in South Africa.
- Monitor and achieve importance KPIs including Revenue, Cash Flow, Inventory, On-time Delivery, Customer Satisfaction, etc.
- Ensure that all tender execution related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets as well as schedule commitments.
- Build up strong relations with customers and manage customer satisfaction by on time.
- Proposal reviews with factory management and factory Project Managers to ensure full fulfilment.
- Take an active role in identifying risks, negotiating and resolving escalated issues especially those raised by the customer and implement this in the tendering process.
- Capability to plan, monitor, and control proposal activities across scope, time, and cost parameters, ensuring effective coordination with the Market Manager for regular project reviews.
- Lead the coordination of any customer request whether they are related to proposal or additional requests to projects which lead for additional sales.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or equivalent with strong technical background
- Experience in Hitachi Energy High voltage Products (GIS, CB and GC) with exposure to tendering process in South Africa.
- Three years' experience in tendering is added advantages
- Possess strong leadership skills and ability to lead the team and convince stakeholders in the interest of the tendering and executions.
- Ability to work under pressure to deliver the projects with time, cost, and quality.
- Experience of SAP or another ERP platform knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in project deliverables.
- Capability to develop work practices and to take lessons learned and implement them into the processes.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and excellent collaboration and work with cross functional and cross-cultural team.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and challenges.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written and English and south Africa local language is required.
