Aurora's modelling team create and maintain the energy models that underpin our subscription analytics, advisory, and software offerings. Based in S??o Paulo and focused on the Americas power markets, successful candidates will work in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment that values collaboration, learning and mutual support. They will contribute to our energy modelling efforts in the Americas by combining energy market knowledge with state-of-the-art modelling techniques. They will be given the opportunity to lead model development projects, mentor junior colleagues, and shape the direction of the modelling team. The position suits an experienced Modeller/Quantitative analyst from a strategic or economic consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or knowledge-focused firm or institution. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required attributes:
- Relevant degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics
- Minimum 3 years of experience in developing models or software in a commercial environment
- Management experience
- Problem-solving skills and analytical ability
