Job Description
Are you motivated by leading complex renewable energy projects that make a real difference? As Head of Delivery - Onshore Wind at EDF Power Solutions, you'll shape how our onshore wind portfolio is delivered, balancing safety, quality, value and performance across the full asset lifecycle to support Britain's journey to net zero.
The Opportunity
You'll be the senior delivery lead for onshore wind within our CTO function, with accountability for delivery strategy, influence of project development and accountable for delivery of construction of a portfolio of industrial scale projects. As part of the business senior leadership team, you'll influence strategy, champion best practice and ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes across projects.
Leading a multi-disciplinary delivery team, you'll set clear direction, build capability and embed learning across projects and technologies. You'll work closely with colleagues across central engineering, procurement, safety and the wider business, and lead key external relationships to optimise delivery and manage risk in a fast-moving renewables environment.
Location: This role will be based in our Atria One office in Edinburgh, on a Hybrid basis. You'll work across UK offices and project sites, with regular collaboration across the business and travel to sites as required to support project delivery and team leadership.
Who You Are
We're looking for an experienced delivery leader in onshore wind who combines strong technical understanding with inclusive, confident leadership. - At least 10 years' experience in the renewables sector, including onshore wind
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role within industrial scale project delivery
- A degree in a relevant engineering or construction discipline
- Proven accountability for delivery strategy, programme performance and risk management across a portfolio of industrial scale projects
- Flexibility to travel across the UK and overseas as required
What You'll Be Doing
- Setting and owning the delivery strategy and performance for the onshore wind portfolio
- Leading and developing multi-disciplinary project management and engineering teams
- Ensuring consistent delivery standards across safety, quality, programme, risk and value
- Providing strong governance, CDM compliance and resource prioritisation across projects
- Embedding lessons learnt and market insights to continuously improve delivery outcomes
- Leading relationships with key external stakeholders and contractors
- Supporting development of Project Investment Decision Dossiers, and Procurement Strategies and aligning with Project Delivery
- Operating as part of the EDF Power Solutions Senior Leadership Team to drive Performance of the Business across the UK and Ireland
