As Cloud Security Engineer at Deftpower, you're the architect of our technical security. You build the foundation that lets us scale safely across Europe.

You'll work closely with Timo, your Team Lead, who currently holds the CISO role as well. Over time, we'd love to see you grow into that responsibility. You're the first in this role, which means you set the standard for how Deftpower scales securely: technically, practically, hands-on.

• Design and maintain secure Azure cloud architectures: vNet, VPN, WAF, network appliances and access management via Entra ID
• Automate security controls and improve monitoring, logging and alerting so incidents are detected and contained fast
• Own incident response from detection through root cause analysis to structural improvement
• Work with developers to embed security into the SDLC and raise the bar on secure coding practices
• Identify risks early, think in attack scenarios and translate findings into concrete technical measures
• Build security awareness across Deftpower. And of course not just with slide decks...

• Salary range: Between ???5000,- and ???6000,- a month
• ???2.000 training budget per year to keep learning and growing.

About you

You're an engineer who builds things. You think in systems, not checklists. You like being the first to spot a problem and the first to fix it!

• 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or Cloud Security Engineer
• Deep knowledge of Azure security: vNet, VPN, WAF, Entra ID, Defender
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code. You manage infrastructure the way engineers manage code
• Experience with incident management: coordinating responses, root cause analysis and follow-through
• Proactive, analytical and not afraid to challenge assumptions
• Familiar with ISO 27001 as a technical framework, not a bureaucratic checkbox
• Nice to have: CISSP, CISM or a comparable certification

Depentent on the role we do a quick introduction by phone to see if there's a match on the basics. After that you'll meet the Team Lead, Timo. We'll tell you more about Deftpower, and we'd love to get to know you as a person. For some roles you'll work on a short case. Next, you will talk to a teammate so that you can get a good feel for the role and the Deftpower. For IT roles, this is when you receive the offer.
