Job Description
Solgrid is an Irish-owned company providing tailored Solar PV energy solutions nationwide. We deliver end-to-end services - from consultation and design through to installation and aftercare - with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality and a safe work environment.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Solar Labourer to join our growing installation team. You will work closely with our roofers, electricians, and project managers, supporting the smooth delivery of solar projects while ensuring the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist roofers and electricians with the installation of solar panels and associated PV electrical equipment.
- Support in reviewing equipment for damage, malfunctions, and maintenance.
- Capture and record all necessary imagery and documentation, ensuring timely submission for grant processing.
- Adhere to the SEAI Domestic Solar Photovoltaic Code of Practice for Installers.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients throughout all stages of installation.
- Collaborate effectively with the install and administration teams to keep projects running smoothly.
- Carry out additional tasks as required to support the team and project delivery.
Requirements
- Full Driving Licence (preferred).
- Ability to meet the team daily at our headquarters in Loughrea, Co. Galway - either living locally or able to commute.
- Manual Handling Certificate and Safe Pass (preferred).
- Comfortable working on roofs and at heights.
- Strong focus on Health & Safety practices.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused, dependable, and flexible, with pride in quality workmanship.
- Full, valid working visa (if applicable).
- Willingness to travel.
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday.
