Functionally directly reporting to the Safety & Quality Manager. This position requires technical expertise in Electrical Engineering and BESS project execution. The person must have a solid experience on Electrical Engineering, quality interventions, inspection and testing requirements. This position is highly demanding of technical reports, documents organization and generation, and interpretation technical drawings and records. He/she must have a systematic approach to handle quality issues and assist the project team in coming up with effective corrective and preventive actions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of Fluence safety rules and protocols, quality programs and processes at the project site and contribute to the department's vision, objectives and goals
  • Leads in investigating accidents and identify root causes on quality issues.
  • Perform supplier / contractor documentations check and review, such as but not limited to: project QC documents, ITP, QMPs, material certificates, test reports, etc).
  • Assist in establishing Inspection and Test plans, method statement, quality plans, and quality procedures and forms.
  • Support and assist in ensuring project turnover (handover) documentations are complete and correct.
  • Performs adhoc and scheduled quality audits across different project sites and generates reports to document outcome.
  • Visits project sites to verify and report equipment preservation and maintenance status and recommend improvement actions.
  • Document all project non-conformities related to Fluence direct contractors' performance or supplied materials/ equipment and processes via corrective action reports.
  • Follow up and ensure timely and effective close out of issues corrective and preventative action (CAPA) reports.
  • Maintains and keeps records of CAPA, quality issues and history resolution.
  • Perform analysis and trending on quality issues and recommend improvement programs.
  • Engages with workers related to safety concerns and addresses them timely with and provides feedback to the worker and the management.
  • Provide support to the project by maintaining a visible and felt presence at site.
  • Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable standards related to quality of products and delivery to ensure compliance to contract requirements.
  • Implement and ensure compliance on environmental requirements applicable to the project. Immediately flags issues to Fluence HSE management.
  • Performs safety walks and adhoc safety audits and inspections and invoke SWA, as needed, to support in strengthening safety culture in project sites.
  • Work with the BOP contractor's quality representatives to ensure that project deliverables complies approved design and IFC drawings.
  • Verifies quality documentations are complete and available: Material receiving reports (Fluence supplied, client supplied and contractor supplied materials and equipment).
  • Support and assist the project team in uploading and updating quality records and information in Sharepoint or the project's designated file repository.
  • Initiate process improvements in processes / areas where efficiency and quality is an issue.
  • Perform tasks delegated by the Safety and Quality management and Project Management, as necessary.

Requirements

  • Registered Electrical Engineer
  • With at least 7 years EPC experience as QAQC and on turnover package
  • Strong background on quality management systems, Engineering Procurement Construction and Installation project quality management.
  • Well versed in establishing and reviewing quality documentations, processes, procedures, forms
  • Knowledgeable on Sharepoint
  • Internal auditor is an advantage
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Strong analytical thinking skills
  • Good communication skills (English and Filipino)
  • Willing to travel
