Job Description

Adapture Renewables, Inc. is on a mission to be a leader in this new era of sustainable energy. Drawing upon an extensive knowledge base, we develop, finance, engineer, build, own, and operate high quality utility-scale photovoltaic projects and battery energy storage projects. Our Human Resources team is looking for a talented HR Coordinator to help support the efforts of our fast-growing company. Adapture Renewables is owned by KIRKBI Climate - the private holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family founded to build a sustainable future for the LEGO brand through generations.

Overview

This position will work in our HR team and provide administrative and operational support to the HR function. This role helps ensure smooth execution of HR processes across onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and general employee support. This role reports to the head of HR. The candidate will ideally be based near our Bay Area home office.

Core Responsibilities

HR Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day HRIS data management, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of employee records
  • Process promotions, compensation updates, onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle changes
  • Manage administration of performance review systems, including setup, cycle coordination, and user support
  • Prepare and manage HR documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, and employee communications using established templates
  • Support compliance with company policies and labor laws

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications as needed
  • Assist with job postings and applicant tracking as needed
  • Prepare onboarding materials and facilitate new hire orientation
  • Support completion of background check processes for candidates

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding processes using established workflows
  • Ensure completion of required documentation
  • Help coordinate onboarding schedules and materials

Benefits & Administrative Support

  • Respond to basic employee questions regarding benefits and policies
  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to HR leadership
  • Assist with open enrollment logistics

Compliance & Process Execution

  • Maintain I-9 and personnel file compliance
  • Follow documented HR procedures and guidelines; suggest updates/improvements thereto
  • Flag any risks, inconsistencies, or employee concerns to HR leadership

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of HR administrative experience preferred
  • Preferred geography: candidates with ability to commute to ARI's Oakland, CA headquarters 2 days/week
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g. ADP), ATS (e.g. Greenhouse), and performance management systems (e.g. Lattice) is a plus
