Responsibilities
Lead complete product lifecycle of energy management products and solutions, including authoring Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), prioritizing sustainment activities, and managing investment plan and New Product Introduction (NPI) process for assigned products. Work closely with clients and apply functional and technical knowledge of energy management products to ensure work product and deliverables meet customer satisfaction. Interpret customer requirements and translate into clear product requirements and use cases in PRDs. Support R&D feasibility/traceability reviews by evaluating product dependencies across embedded systems, firmware requirements, and head-end software interactions to ensure system interoperability. Work on complex business cases. Work with Technical Training team to develop product documentation and training that explains product architecture, firmware upgrade behavior and integration considerations with utility systems. Work in partnership with Project Management Organization (PMO) to manage cost and timeline expectations. Present to Executive Project Governance Boards for stage gate reviews and Change Controls. Work on assigned product dependencies and interrelationships to deliver a complete customer hardware/software solution. Independently manage strategic partnerships. Technical Subject Matter Expert for assigned energy management products. Leverage understanding of Linux OS and Java architecture to drive development and education of grid edge application platform. Develop customer communications, such as Customer Information Letters, Product Updates, and Release Notes. Ensure all parts of the organization are properly educated on product feature/functionality. Contribute to business reviews and planning sessions. Assist with managing the sustainment of existing product offerings. Support quality processes.
Salary
$100,000 - $115,500
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and two (2) years of experience product management. Experience must include two years each of the following: market research to address market/business needs for a product; data analysis to identify opportunities and efficiencies and measure critical metrics for a product line; gathering, synthesizing, and translating customer requirements into technical and functional product requirements and specifications; collaborating with marketing, sales, manufacturing, and engineering functions in the development and launch of new products; developing/specifying requirements for Edge computing and IoT computing technologies; and NPI (new product introduction). Experience may be gained concurrently.
