Job Description

At Vestas Szczecin, you'll lead a collaborative Quality team in one of the region's key manufacturing sites, promoting excellence in both processes and people. The Quality Department covers both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC). Our team supports the organization in developing and maintaining procedures, policies, work instructions, standards, and records. Ultimately, we ensure that every product leaving the factory meets all required specifications.
We are also responsible for maintaining compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) with international standards and for managing and resolving customer concerns.
We are seeking a motivated Manager for Production Quality. You will lead a Quality team of approximately 60 employees, including around 20 engineers and supervisors, as well as several external consultants.
Your role is to uphold and improve quality standards in the production area, ensuring alignment with Vestas requirements. You will enhance productivity and product quality by placing safety and quality at the forefront of all decisions and actions.
Responsibilities
- Deploy the Factory Quality Strategy and policies, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and site objectives
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, promoting strong safety behaviors across all quality activities
- Provide leadership that secures performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost throughout the production area
- Lead and develop a diverse and newly formed team, including engineers, supervisors, and quality specialists
- Promote quality awareness and a customer focused zero failure culture across the factory.
- Improve processes that impact product quality, establishing robust controls and consistent compliance
- Facilitate and support quality improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and the elimination of recurring defects and process shortcomings
Qualifications
- Master degree in engineering, quality, production or related field
- Several years work experience in quality/engineering environment
- People management experience
- Skilled with product verification/validation
- Good understanding of quality tools (e. g. Six Sigma Black Belt - welcomed)
- Experienced with customer relations and audits including ISO
- Very good Knowledge in quality systems
- Fluency in English and Polish
