Job Description

Join our dynamic Business R&D team in Turgi, where we develop cutting-edge medium-voltage frequency converters and HVDC subsystems. You'll work in a collaborative environment with six power electronics engineers and three mechanical engineers, contributing to innovative solutions that have a global impact. This position combines 60% R&D and 40% production engineering, offering flexibility for research activities and hands-on involvement in manufacturing processes.

How you'll make an impact

  • Research & Development (60%)
    • Drive innovation in medium-voltage converter design and technology
    • Develop and build from prototype until the final product
    • Collaborate with global teams in Poland, Sweden, India and China
    • Work arrangement: Flexible (remote or on-site as needed)
  • Production Engineering (40%)
    • Ensure seamless integration of designs into manufacturing processes
    • Optimize production workflows for efficiency and quality
    • Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot issues
    • Work arrangement: On-site presence required at our factories in Turgi and Seon
    • Lead & implement lean management and CIP methodology

Your background

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in power electronics and converter technology
  • Experience in mechanical design and development, with tools like SolidEdge, NX, SAP
  • Knowledge of production processes and industrialization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Fluent in English and German
