Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager and Client Advocate for Network Control to join our Grid Automation team in Mannheim.

In this role, you will deliver innovative network control solutions through customer-focused, cost-efficient project management, working closely with an international team. You will support customers across the full project lifecycle - from quotation and execution to service handover - acting as their representative within Hitachi Energy.

How you'll make an impact

  • Preparation of competitive bids for network control system solutions, including cost calculation, in compliance with relevant internal guidelines and processes
  • Independent, end-to-end management with full responsibility for network control bid and execution projects
  • Coordination of inputs from project execution, commercial teams, and Supply Chain Management
  • Coordination of required resources with local and global Engineering and Service teams
  • Collaboration with Hitachi Energy Operations Centers worldwide
  • Coordination of external suppliers, partners, and service providers
  • Ongoing management of an assigned customer portfolio, ensuring continuous development of offered services and service solutions
  • Support of Sales in meetings, presentations, and negotiations

Your background

  • Successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Strong technical understanding of complex solutions, systems, and products in an IT environment; knowledge of network control systems is an advantage
  • Understanding of commercial and business relationships
  • Confident user of MS Office applications; knowledge of MS Project and SAP is an advantage
  • Independent and proactive working style, with a willingness to take responsibility and lead a project team
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a high level of customer orientation and a strong sales mindset
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; French is an advantage
  • Interest in international collaboration and willingness to travel worldwide
  • General willingness to take on temporary assignments in our global partner units (e.g. as part of a time-limited exchange of up to six months) is desirable
