Energy Engineer PV (remote)

Green Energy Venture, part of oe energy, is a consulting and service company operating along the renewable energy value chain. We have been connecting technology and financial markets on three continents for over two decades. Our fields of expertise are engineering, transaction management, TA (Technical Advisory) and high-level services, which are necessary for the realization of projects in renewable energies. We are currently moving more than 8 GW in our internal projects - from their development to grid connection along our core competencies.

Tasks

• Management of PV projects and/or portfolios, including all activities and communication, both internal and external.
• Economic modeling and feasibility assessment of high-tech concepts along the renewable energy value chain between generation, storage, and grid, with a focus on PV.
• Techno-economic evaluation of various design scenarios to determine the best technology and design for a specific case and interest.
• Preparation of documentation and presentations for banks, investors, and other participating organizations.
• Creation, revision, and review of construction plans for ground-mounted and rooftop solar power plants.
• Electrical design and power loss calculations for PV projects.
• Conducting energy yield assessments using PVsyst.

Requirements

• Completed Master's degree or equivalent qualification in environmental or systems engineering, energy technology, and/or energy efficiency.
• At least 2 years of proven experience working with large-scale PV systems and BESS. (less experienced candidates to be considered for entry level positions)
• Knowledge of the latest generation of technologies and renewable energies.
• Experience put together technical reports in a professional manner.
• Ability to work independently with AutoCAD and Pvsyst. Knowledge of Python, EPLAN, MATLAB, and other simulation tools is an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of English. Very good knowledge of German and/or Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (10%).
• Well-structured, organized, and service-oriented work style.
• Quick comprehension and ability to work independently.
• Interest in working in an international and dynamic environment.
