Join a dynamic onshore construction team and play a key role in delivering large‑scale wind energy projects across the region. As a Site Manager, you'll lead site operations, ensuring safe, high‑quality, and on‑time execution while working with diverse stakeholders. Within Vestas Wind Systems, the Construction department in Northern & Central Europe (NCE) is responsible for delivering construction projects safely, on time, within budget, and in line with required quality standards.

The Installation & Commissioning (I&C) department, as part of NCE Construction, manages the pre‑installation, installation, and commissioning of wind turbines for both onshore and offshore projects across the region.

Within I&C, the Site Execution Management department holds overall responsibility for the operational delivery of all construction sites in NCE, achieved through the deployment and support of skilled and motivated Site Managers who lead site activities and ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

As the Site Manager, Onshore Installation, your main responsibility will be the organisation of construction sites with the focus on safety, quality, budget, and time, as well as to

  • Plan, schedule, and manage site resources in line with project timelines, budget, scope, and assumptions
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and ensure clear communication
  • Ensure all documentation and reporting requirements are delivered accurately and on time
  • Promote and enforce Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards, including compliance and non‑conformity management
  • Oversee construction activities, coordinating teams and subcontractors to ensure safe and high‑quality execution
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, resolve issues, and ensure contractual and legal compliance
  • Foster a positive work environment while representing the company professionally to both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • A qualification in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is desirable
  • Experience in the construction industry is an advantage, though not essential
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and practices
  • Good understanding of the full construction lifecycle
  • Familiarity with process safety standards and relevant local legislation
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in spoken German is a strong advantage

Additional information

You can be based in, Netherlands, Denmark or Germany.

You will be required to travel for up to 180 days per year.
