Canadian Solar is searching for an experienced and commercially minded EPC Manager to lead the successful delivery of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar and battery storage projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.

The EPC Manager will oversee the full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction lifecycle while acting as a key interface between internal manufacturing divisions, engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, utilities, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & EPC Management

  • Lead end-to-end execution of C&I solar PV and BESS projects
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and reporting
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to quality standards
  • Coordinate project handover from sales/pre-construction through commissioning
  • Identify &Oversee subcontractors, EPC partners, and on-site execution teams across EU landscape, initial target countries DACH, Italy, Spain and UK
  • Monitor project KPIs, timelines, and cost performance

Engineering Coordination

  • Coordinate internal and external engineering teams for:
    • PV system design
    • inverter integration
    • battery storage integration
    • grid connection compliance
    • structural and electrical engineering
  • Review technical documentation, layouts, and construction drawings
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, utility requirements, and industry standards
  • Support value engineering and optimization initiatives

Procurement & Supply Chain

  • Coordinate procurement planning with internal manufacturing and supply chain teams
  • Manage delivery schedules for:
    • PV modules
    • inverters
    • battery storage systems
    • mounting structures
    • electrical balance of system components
  • Support supplier negotiations and logistics coordination
  • Mitigate procurement risks and supply chain delays

Construction & Site Management

  • Oversee construction execution and installation quality
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site safety procedures
  • Coordinate commissioning activities and system energization
  • Conduct site progress reviews and resolve technical or operational issues
  • Ensure punch-list closure and final client handover

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary operational contact for clients during project execution
  • Coordinate with utilities, authorities, consultants, and third-party inspectors
  • Provide regular project updates and executive reporting
  • Support customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development

Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in solar EPC, renewable energy projects, or industrial electrical infrastructure
  • Proven experience delivering C&I solar PV projects
  • Strong understanding of:
    • solar PV systems
    • inverters
    • battery storage systems
    • grid interconnection
    • construction management
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Fluent English. German or Spanish is a must
