As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our Inspection and Retrofit team with a Senior Inspection Engineer at our Glasgow or Stirling location.

Our team leads the delivery of a suite of market leading inspection and retrofit services aimed at operational and construction projects across the renewables industry, and works with a diverse and growing client base internationally. We inspect a wide range of technologies, including onshore and offshore windfarms, solar plants and battery energy storage systems. and conduct wind turbine retrofit and upgrade campaigns.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team as a WTSR approved Authorised Technician or Limited Authorised Technician on inspection and retrofit projects.
  • Draft and review project related risk assessments and method statements
  • Provide on-site support and training to develop technical competency within the team.
  • Thorough inspection of drive-train main components using borescope.
  • Lubrication sampling
  • Technical inspections on all electro-mechanical systems within wind turbine generators
  • Solar plant and BESS inspections
  • Interpreting and classification of defects to relevant IEC standards, communicating findings from inspections verbally, in written reports and through an iOS / Android application.
  • Preparation of detailed inspection reports for clients and internal use in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that Natural Power and client H&S policies are adhered to at all times, both personally and for other team members. Reporting of HSEQ matters reported in a timely manner as per procedure.

This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
