Job Description

The Crew Chief must be able to perform tasks involving As-Built of stockpiles and volume of basins. The crew chief will also perform staking routines while using alignment files such as DXF and XML.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Possess a clear understanding of Surface files and their application to the work area.
  • Being able to apply Safety First practices and the wearing of PPE while on site.
  • Be physically capable of carrying equipment and appreciate working outdoors.
  • Have a desire of continually learning the advancements in the industry.
  • Train team members to promote efficient production within projected timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing GPS surveying systems.
  • Proficiency in all areas of surveying.
  • Knowledgeable about current survey equipment used on sites.
  • Possess working knowledge of drawings, sketches, and prints, underground duct banks, trenching, manholes and be able to utilize, demonstrate and supervise proper usage of equipment by employees in this power industry.
  • Current valid driver's license required

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Work is performed both in an office and field environment.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds.
