Position Overview

Mesquite Module Corporation is seeking a Facility Shift Supervisor to support a new facility build and operational launch. This role will play a key part in establishing facility operations, maintenance processes, team coordination, and shift execution during a critical growth phase of the organization.

The Facility Supervisor will work alongside another Facility/Warehouse Supervisor and partner closely with the Facility Manager to help build and support day-to-day operations within the new facility environment. This position requires a hands-on leader who can operate effectively in a fast-paced startup-style manufacturing setting while helping establish structure, operational consistency, and strong safety practices.

This role is responsible for overseeing facility maintenance and operations during assigned shifts, supervising maintenance personnel, resolving operational issues, and ensuring continuity across facility systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance personnel to ensure efficient shift operations
  • Support startup and operational readiness activities associated with the new facility build
  • Partner with fellow supervisors and the Facility Manager to establish workflows, maintenance procedures, and operational standards
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities across facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and respond to escalated facility and equipment issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Review work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure accurate documentation
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and third-party service providers supporting facility startup and ongoing operations
  • Manage and coordinate contractors and external service providers to ensure all work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with contractual requirements, company standards, and operational expectations.
  • Ensure the continuous, safe, and reliable operation of all plant utilities, including wastewater systems, high-voltage electrical systems, industrial gases, and other critical infrastructure necessary to support uninterrupted production activities.
  • Identify operational or maintenance trends and recommend process improvements
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with operations, warehouse, logistics, and leadership teams
  • Serve as acting Facility Manager during limited absences when assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent industry experience required

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, warehouse, or industrial operations
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience required
  • Experience supporting a startup operation, facility launch, expansion, or new build environment strongly preferred

Skills

  • Proven leadership and decision-making skills within a shift-based manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong working knowledge of major facility and utility equipment, including chillers, air compressors, and centralized HVAC systems. Ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex equipment issues, while also developing and implementing preventive maintenance standards and operational procedures.
  • Ability to manage priorities and adapt within a fast-changing operational setting
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems and operational reporting tools

  • Valid driver's license required
