Job Description

The Test Engineer is responsible for executing, maintaining, and improving production test processes under the supervision of a senior engineer. This position supports manufacturing operations by ensuring that test equipment and processes run efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with established quality standards. The role involves troubleshooting, participating in failure analysis, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor production test processes, ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and corrective actions for test equipment and product-related issues.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate test documentation, reports, and records according to company standards.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of test systems and measurement tools.
  • Support the introduction of new products (NPI) and engineering changes into production.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for test failures and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality procedures in all testing activities.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams as needed.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure test processes operate within defined specifications and quality requirements.
  • Support the resolution of test and equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and updated documentation for test processes and equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the test area.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits, measurement systems, and testing principles.
  • Familiarity with programming or test automation tools (LabVIEW, C/C++, or Python is a plus).
  • Ability to analyze test data and identify performance trends or anomalies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities for collaboration with engineering and production teams.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a technical manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (written and spoken).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, testing, or quality environments (internship experience acceptable).
  • Experience in the electronics or electromechanical manufacturing industry (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of automated test equipment and measurement systems.
