Job Description

LIQUIDLOOP develops advanced scientific instrumentation that accelerates innovation in electrochemistry and carbon capture. Our hardware enables researchers and industry partners to better understand and optimize electrochemical processes through real-time measurement and analysis.

As an Electronics Engineer, you will contribute to the development of next-generation scientific instruments, working across electronics, sensors, software, and mechanical systems. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building real-world hardware products while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of electronic systems used in LIQUIDLOOP products.
  • Support the development of electronic hardware concepts, from requirements definition through prototyping, testing, and validation.
  • Design, integrate, and validate sensors, actuators, and measurement systems for scientific instruments.
  • Participate in hardware debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Support the definition and execution of test procedures for electronic subsystems and complete instruments.
  • Contribute to the assembly, calibration, and optimization of prototypes and product hardware.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, design files, and validation records.
  • Collaborate closely with software, chemistry, and mechanical engineering colleagues.
  • Contribute to the architecture and development of next-generation scientific instrumentation.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience through industry work, internships, academic projects, or personal projects in electronics development, instrumentation, measurement systems, embedded hardware, or related technical products.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics fundamentals.
  • Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
  • Basic programming skills, for example in C/C++ or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems.
  • Experience using electronic laboratory equipment for debugging, validation, and performance characterization.
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills and a hands-on engineering mindset.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned technical tasks, work proactively, and contribute to bringing solutions from concept to implementation with appropriate guidance.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with PCB design and development.
  • Experience working with sensors, data acquisition, or measurement systems.
  • Experience with scientific instrumentation or electrochemistry applications.
  • Experience supporting the transition of prototypes toward reliable product-level hardware.
  • Familiarity with documentation practices for hardware development, testing, and validation.
