What you will do
- Lead the realization of utility-scale BESS projects in Romania from contract signature through commissioning and handover to operations
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and recovery plans to ensure successful and timely delivery
- Coordinate EPC contractors, suppliers, grid operators, authorities, and internal stakeholders across engineering, legal, finance, and operations
- Oversee construction interfaces, technical documentation, permitting activities, and grid connection readiness
- Drive HSE compliance, quality inspections, commissioning activities, and resolution of technical or contractual issues
- Provide transparent reporting on KPIs, milestones, budgets, risks, and project progress while promoting continuous improvement and Axpo standards
What you bring & who you are
- Degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or energy engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
- Experience managing large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects, ideally within BESS, grid connection, or energy projects
- Strong understanding of contract management, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery processes
- Structured, solution-oriented, and independent way of working with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in international and cross-functional teams
- Fluent English and Romanian skills; ideally, knowledge of another European language
