Job Description

The role is part of the SSC Record-to-Report (RTR) Department within Finance, which is responsible for the end-to-end process of collecting, processing, and delivering accurate financial data for reporting and compliance. The department oversees key activities such as general ledger accounting, fixed assets, intercompany, cash, revenue, and cost and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and deliver process excellence initiatives that will focus on short- and long-term financial and other agreed business targets according to transformation initiatives set forth by Finance Leadership
  • Work closely with the Global Process owner to ensure focus is on end-to-end processes and any changes and new improvements done are aligned across the end to end value chain
  • Develop process improvement initiatives in Record to Report improving quality and efficiency of operations, getting approval from relevant governance forums (to be facilitated by transformation office for large initiatives)
  • Support continuous improvement and oversee initiative identification by the Finance SSC leadership to increase efficiencies through use of digital technologies and finance system
  • Prepare business case for projects or continuous improvement initiatives, follow through, track milestones and do a regular report out to the Finance Operations Heads and Global Process Owners
  • Supports design initiatives (pool of resources/process experts) across organization and brings the tools, methods and approaches to accelerate the work
  • Ensure process documentation is maintained, accessible, changes communicated/training provided etc
  • Identify and suggest improvement areas for both process and technology and keep track of backlog items during transition in collaboration with Transition Manager
  • Oversee the alignments where process improvements will impact daily work E.g., Cross-functional teams in Finance SSC and other finance areas
  • Consistently report and review process excellence projects' performance
  • Be on a constant look out using methods, tools to analyse data to improve the process and add value to the process removing nonvalue add
  • Advance innovation of finance systems and implementation of digital technologies in close collaboration with Digital Solutions
  • Support potential future Finance transition activities to the extent required to get immediate process improvements and cost savings in the SSC and regions

Stakeholders Management

  • Collaborate with Finance Operations, Finance Controlling and Digital Solutions in designing the process to reach performance targets, efficiency goals and promote standardization and automation
  • Improve existing processes, system and organizational design to promote simplification and standardization
  • Partner closely with the Global Process owners and Compliance team to ensure process is compliant and end-to-end process impact assessment is performed for any process change
  • Provide inputs to the Global Process owners for prioritized initiatives that should be discussed in the Quarterly Review Meetings with Digital Solutions

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with process excellence and project management from a Finance shared services organisation with actual continuous improvement applications in the areas of Procure to Pay, Order to Cash or Record to Report
  • Experience from similar industry (preferred)
  • Extensive project management and transformation experience required, best from multiple global organisations
  • Training and Certification on Continuous Improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience. Good to have an experience in S/4 Hana
  • Depth and breadth in understanding of current and emerging technologies especially around Automation and GenAI- Fluent in English - verbally and written
