Job Description

The purpose of the role is to build long term sustainable relations with host communities, Co-design, implement and monitor impact of SED/ED programmes. Ensure that projects are sensitive to the specificities of communities.

What you will do

Project Management

  • Ensure co-design of projects with locals, implementation and monitoring performance, identifying all project risk
  • Monitor the performance of all activities in terms of schedule
  • Identify and manage all project risks
  • Compile board packs for project sites
  • Responsible for Department of Energy obligations regarding quarterly SED and ED spend for Enel Green Power South Africa Portfolio
  • Development of yearly Economic Development plan and reporting to the IPPO
  • Management of wind and solar sites across the Enel Green Power Portfolio
  • Project Management reporting on Enel Global ESG requirements

Stakeholder Relations Management

  • Responsible relations with Project Support Committee (PSC)
  • Responsible for Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and Plan
  • Ensure that community stakeholder groups are kept abreast of all decisions and activities undertaken.
  • Spearheading the processes of asset mapping and community needs analysis, program development and projects implementation and monitoring and evaluation

Budget Management

  • Ensure proactive planning of quarterly targets
  • Ensure that quarterly spend targets are met (and create and implement strategies to avoid related risks).

Event Organisation

  • Manage the Stakeholder Engagement Planning and implementation.
  • In partnership with PSC, SRM and other key stakeholders organise community meetings and events to introduce, report on and celebrate project progress.

Partnerships & Collaboration

  • Constantly identify partners to collaborate with Enel Green Power' internal teams on various community and project related tasks.
  • Participation and representation in the renewable industry associations
  • Collaborate with other IPP's where EGP is present

Who you are

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in relevant field
  • 5 - 7 Years' Experience in: Project management/ management consulting/ community development
  • Experience in Economic Development Reporting within REIPPPP (Requirement)
  • Excellent reporting writing skills
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Ability to articulate and deliver information both technical and general at community level.
  • Mediation, Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Monitoring and evaluation capabilities
  • Ability to communicate all levels of society.
